Congratulations to Tony Young and the Carmel Team on their state swimming championship.

Jim Sheridan of Columbus North was selected as coach of the year.

Thanks to the support of coaches/team representatives throughout the state the poll  accurately predicted the top 4 finishers, 8 of the top 10 teams and 15 of the top 20 teams.

Of the 5 teams that were not ranked in the top 20, 2 of teams: Plainfield and South Dearborn simply had outstanding meets. The other three teams:  Westfield, Valparaiso and Westfield never turned in any results and could not be accurately ranked prior to the state meet.

Of the teams that consistently reported the results Terre Haute South stands out as having the most improvement at the state meet. They moved from a no ranking in the poll to 24th in the state meet. South Dearborn also showed a large improvement going from 27th to 14th.
